CORSETS - SPECIALTY AND EMBELLISHMENTS
Corset styles on this page
represent excellent price points and the most creative
efforts of our corsetmaker team. Please note that because
of the demand for our corsets, our production time
approximates one to two months. You may request an earlier date which
may require a fee for 'rush' service; please inquire.
Other corset
design and embellishment items are
offered on this page are true specialities of the
particular corsetiere. Note that lovely
Swiss ribbon may be ordered to coordinate with the
outside fabric.
For example, we were asked
for a lighter-weight comfy and hand-washable
corset to help moms recover their pre-pregnancy shape,
and thus Jade Locke (seen right at the famous and
enticing San Francisco
fabric store, Britex) designed our "Sweet Dreams" Sleep
Corset. Then clients desired a wider range of colors and
we added lavender, sky blue and peach
to our pink, white, beige and black color choices, plus we
will now entertain requests to hand-dye special colors!
Next we were asked for a more romantic and longer Sleep
Corset, one more
suitable for brides
to shape lower hiplines and control tummies better
underneath dropped-waisting wedding gowns, and thus
our longline satin "Sweet Dreams" Bridal Sleep Corset was born.
And we are now
test marketing a unique "Leg Corset" designed to
"thigh train" to
reduce thigh circumference -- what will be next at ROMANTASY?
Email us your special needs
and we will exercise our skills and imagination and
do our best to accommodate you!
MEASUREMENTS: Please understand that we rely on
your accuracy and measurements to construct your corset
and therefore cannot be responsible if you mis-measure.
However, if we note anything terribly amiss, we will contact
you for clarification.
Some amendments possibly can be made to a completed corset
but understandably these will be at your cost. To ensure
the best possible fit if you are preparing measurements you
may wish to consult the body graphic contained on
this
page.
Start by wearing lingerie, underwear, or a bathing suit.
Tie a ribbon or string around your waistline. Locate that
at your natural waistline, or where you desire your waist
to be when wearing a corset (for standard figures, women typically 1" above
the bellybutton, for me typically 1" below the belly button.
For fuller figures, look in the mirror and select the peoper
waistline you desire). It is always better to have someone take your measurements
three times, then report the average. Be sure you measure snugly
at the waistline, and somewhat looser around the rib cage
with arms down (do not let tape drop in back;
hold at bra level; the rib cage is around your lower bra underwire), and pelvis. Be sure that you also measure from
centerfront of your body to the corset bottom,
sufficiently low to cover the lower tummy while both
standing and sitting. Note that if your centerfront
waist to top measurement exceeds 1 3/4" higher than your
sidefront waist to underwire or chest swell, this constitutes
a "sharp point" style and will incur the noted upcharge.
Typically that center front waist to top measurement will
only be 1" taller than the side front one.
A final word before you decide this Line is for

Specialty Line if you conduct your own research and
order online and if you have not already commenced
detailed discussions and emails or opened an order
regarding an Elegant

entail a modest Change Order fee of $50.
