METHOD OF CLOSING A CORSET
The standard corset laces up the back with shoelace cording,
ribbon, or rolled satin cording. However, you may choose
a closed back corset, seen here (this one is front laced).
You may also have a front and back-laced corset according
to your preference.
Note that pulling from the back in a
back-lacing corset, generally encourages better, straighter
posture and shapes the waistline and midriff more effectively
than pulling from the front to close down your corset.
The standard corset comes with silver grommets. However,
for artistic purposes you may also choose gold, black, or
Occasionally a client reports an allergy to nickle. We are
able to special order nickle-free grommets upon request.
Note that grommets we use, are no the same thing as eyelets.
The main difference is that the grommet has a larger
flange diameter in relation to the hole size than does
an eyelet. The larger falange provide additional holding strength in high
stress applications such as in corsetry, tents, banners
