CORSET SALON: IN-PERSON BRIDAL CONSULTATION (SAN FRANCISCO)
View the
difference a foundation corset can make in a
bride's figure.
It's our pleasure to help brides answer "How can I achieve
the most trim and curvaceous figure with the best
possible presentation in my wedding gown, either wearing
a foundation corset, or incorporating a corset as outwear
in my wedding ensemble?"
ROMANTASY has advised hundreds of brides and their Bridal
Party members who appreciate the figure-enhancing
qualities of traditional steel-boned custom corsetry. An
added benefit of a corset is its versatility: you wear
your wedding dress once, but a corset can be paired later
with a skirt, dress, or slacks as fashion outerwear or
as proper foundation wear.
As outerwear, we delight in assisting you to design an
elegant and glamorous corset, as well as coordinating skirt. Ordering both at the same
time avoids seeming as if you went one place for a well-fitting corset, then to an outlet for an unrelated skirt. As foundation wear, we ensure
that your figure---even the ample bosom, and hips are
adequately supported, smoothed, and shaped in the form
you desire. Take a look at our sassy full-figure bride, Barbara,
wearing her Sue Nice Chinese silk overbust wedding corset, looking quite
pleased with herself at the right!
Because we understand that you want to look your best in
your wedding ensemble, at the initial consultation held
in our cozy San Francisco Salon, you will receive a
gratis copy of our Book on figure and waistline
shaping, Corset Magic (normally $50 cd or e-book format),
and we will
- enjoy a leisurely tea party
- review your design ideas
- advise on special features of each corset style
and corsetmaker
- advise on suitable fabric and embellishments such
as lace overlays, beaded appliqués, front busk overlays,
and other such as our unique Busk Covers.
You may return for as many meetings as necessary to prepare your ensemble. However, at the concluding consultation we advise you to attend
with your Maid-Of-Honor. There we will review
- how to season your new corset
- how to incorporate it into a figure toning or diet
regime pre-wedding
- how to pose for all-important photographs
- how to maintain comfort throughout your special
day
- how to dress the bride for wedding-day comfort and
to avoid common mistakes.
One improperly educated corseted bride--not our client--
wore an ivory silk dupione corset down the aisle--but
with her back protector panel improperly placed inside-out,
so that the stark white cotton lining showed underneath
gorgeous ivory silk lacing ribbons!)
You will understand that our detailed, caring, and careful
in-person service is a premium one. However, no matter
if you order or not, or which corset you ultimately
choose, it is our pleasure to share our expertise with
you regarding this important part of custom corset and
wedding day planning.
