RENAISSANCE CORSET
BY JILL HOVERMAN

****Style Advisory: Amazingly excellent value at low price in a period-perfect corset in three fabric layers. Great choice for Rennaissance Faires. Perfect for bridal ensemble when adorned with embroidery, lace, pearls, or rhinestones. It does not provide the proper underbust hourglass silhouette required for serious waist training or to create a natural bosom shape for foundation wear. Note the lovely rosette bodice clips and garter embellishments available for order with your corset or later. (View additional images below the ordering section on this page.)****

This corset style is best known from the times of Queen Elizabeth I, and is quite elegant when ordered in silk as part of a period style bridal ensemble for the bodice. Both functional and lovely in cotton, linen, or our fine cotton-backed satin seen here: Fabrics.

Note that the back of the style is high and the straps are permanently attached. You may change the style and color of shoulder bows to change the "look" or color theme of your corset. Also, flossing is unavailable on this style.

A similar but longer corset is the later Eighteenth Century corset.

We offer several unique options and design features to allow more fun in creating your own individual design. If you desire a design feature or embellishment that you don't see offered here, please send us email to inquire. Prices quoted are based on a cotton corset with modest upcharges for other fabric options.
